Celebrity Café

Avoid

Celebrity Café: clad in endless leopard print and with fittingly hostile service this place’s best selling point is the location. Celebrity is right next door to Valentinos and has an impressive looking exterior, especially when their outdoor seating is open, do not be fooled. Those who do not speak Czech will be treated like second class citizens and those who do will still receive poor service even by Prague standards.

Although we will occasionally venture in for an after dinner dessert, this place is really best to avoid. Friends from out of town have reported the staff making fun of them for failing to properly pronounce the nearly impossible language, service at the best of times is slow (read forgotten if you deign to sit out front), and tourists’ bills seem to often add up more than locals’.

If you are looking for outdoor seating go next door to Valentino or to Fenoman’s back patio (both listed as clubs). If you want breakfast at 10:00am, try just two blocks down (toward the National Muzeum) and across the street at Café Faux Pas, Vinohradská 29, map. And if you are looking for dinner, there are many better restaurants in the area.

If you still feel compelled to go:
Address: Vinohradská 40, Prague 2. On the map: here.
